Spring vehicle weight restrictions in effect

Update: as of 05/14/2024 these restrictions are lifted.

We have implemented a spring weight restriction on our community road system of 24,000 lbs gross vehicle weight. This is to prevent damage to our roads during spring thaw and runoff. Please abide by these restrictions to prevent damage to our roads and possible damage to vehicles and possible injury to people. This restriction will remain in effect until further notice.

Thank you!

Road blockage on upper Woodchuck.

A piece of construction equipment is broken down on upper Woodchuck road. The contractor is working to get it moved with a wrecker or some other means. Please use caution in the area. The contractor said vehicles can pass beside it. Keep speed down when passing the equipment. Pete Moncada 843-696-3089

Noxious Weed Spraying Begins Saturday July 22

TCRMA has hired Young’s Tree & Forestry to spot spray noxious weeds along the community roadways beginning Saturday, July 22. This service is estimated to take at least 7 days depending on weather conditions. Residents who choose to opt-out of this service must have their property boundaries clearly marked by next Monday and must be responsible for controlling the noxious weeds on their property. “NO SPRAY” indicators should be marked directly on the road surface; notices posted on trees can be easily missed. Under state law, it is the resident’s responsibility to control the spread of noxious weeds on their property. If you have questions, please call Holly at406/580-7117. Snow plowing

Andy has plowed out Woodchuck to the frontage road and is now heading up Woodchuck with the grader to plow out the east end. Zander is plowing the west end with a pickup . They expect to get through all the roads by this evening. However the snow continues to pile up so expect most roads to have as much as a foot again overnight. Pete Moncada 843-696-3089

Grader

The grader is down for a couple days for repairs. Andy will be out widening all the roads as soon as it is up and running. Most of the roads on the Winchester -Colt Loop need to be widened.

Monday snow plowing.

Andy was out on lower Woodchuck early this morning. As he started up High Ridge the grader developed an air leak in one tire so he had to go fix that and did not get back to plowing till eleven. Andy expects to open up and widen our Mt the primary roads today and finish up all secondary roads tomorrow. Thanks to all of the residents who have plowed out raids this morning.
