Road closure update

The Monday Road Closure will not begin any earlier then 10 am. That should allow for normal morning commutes and for contractors to arrive in the morning as normal. If you are expecting concrete or other building materials be aware that taking the Winchester to Colt route is not feasible for loaded trucks. Schedule these trucks for before 10am. Departure for empty trucks via Colt and Winchester should not be a problem.

Road conditions Warning

The Creek is over the road on Colt by the Woodchuck intersection. Proceed at your own risk. The creek is 8 “ from crossing Winchester at the Woodchuck intersection. If the water continues to rise and the creek crosses Winchester the intersection may quickly deteriorate and become impassable. Remember! Driving thru water moving over the road can be dangerous! Roads

Conditions are improving. We were able to clear Highridge this morning. We will attempt to clear Colt and the Star area in the morning. The smaller roads will be cleared as conditions permit. We drove up Peak and Colt today and found them too saturated to attempt. We will visit Peak again on Friday to check it’s condition. All the smaller roads should be covered by the end of the weekend.

Road conditions

The roads are saturated. We are not comfortable putting the 30,000 + pound grader on the roads till they firm up. With the forecast looking good for drying and firming we hope to resume grading toward the end of this week. Again we ask for your continued patience.

Plowing

The grader will be out first thing in the morning. We will first clear Colt, the Star, and Winchester. Brian will then work on the other roads. Some are very soft due the water saturation. Some roads are too soft for the grader. Please watch out for the grader and let Brian work without interruption. Thank for your patience.
