Woodchuck/ Winchester Intersection Construction

Starting on Monday October 4,2021 we will start installing a larger culvert at the intersection of Woodchuck Rd and Winchester Rd. The road will be down to One lane for 2 to 3 days. At no time is it expected to be closed. Please slow to a stop at this intersection while work is in progress. Use extreme caution when passing thru the work area. Keep in mind that outbound traffic has the right of way.

Grizzly

There have been a couple of grizzly sightings east of the subdivision not far from my property this last week. One charged a couple of bow hunters very aggressively. Might be worth a post to the community.
This from Matt Ridgeway who has property near the Woodchuck High Ridge intersection at the Far East end of the neighborhood.

Volunteer Flaggers Needed

We are in need of a few volunteers to help with flagging and traffic control during the construction this week on Woodchuck and Winchester. Specifically, we need two volunteers for Tuesday morning and one for the afternoon shift. We also have the need for volunteers on Wednesday both morning and afternoon. If you have some extra time and can help out, please contact project leads Ann Kieffaber 203/524-6453 or Pete Moncada 843/696-3089. Thank You!

Reminder: Timberline Creek Neighborhood Fire Risk Meeting Tonight

Just a reminder that the Timberline Creek Neighborhood Fire Risk Meeting will be held tonight.
Date: August 2, 2021 Time: 7 PM Where: Fort Ellis Volunteer Fire Department @ 3725 Bozeman Trail Rd.
Topics discussed include:
– Safe ingress / egress of our Timberline Creek neighborhood – Defensible / Survivable Space around our homes – Hazardous Fuel Reduction – Forest Health and Proper Spacing – What a local response will look like in the event there is a fire ( including possible exit out the old public road at the top of Woodchuck that ultimately leads down into Cokedale) – Possible Resource Collaboration
NCRS, USDA and Fort Ellis VFD Staff will be presenting on the topics above and how each apply to our neighborhood. We will also invite a Q/A session following each of their presentations. If the weather cooperates, we will plan to have the meeting outside on the lawn so bring your favorite lawn chair. We will move indoors if needed.
