Road snow plowing status

Most roads should be reopened by midday today. Peace Maker is the exception. It is deep and wind packed and the grader cannot make up the hill. Andy will be up later today with a loader to open it up. Pete Moncada 843-696-3089

Road slush

We are aware of the problems with excess slush on out roads. Andy is also aware and is mobilizing to mitigate the problem as soon a possible. The roads as of this minute are in some cases impassable without 4 WD or AWD and chains. Please use caution and do not attempt to negotiate the roads until we can get them cleared off.

Noxious Weed Spraying Monday, August 8

TCRMA has hired Young’s Tree & Forestry to spot spray noxious weeds along the community roadways beginning Monday, August 8. This service is estimated to take at least 7 days depending on weather conditions. Residents who choose to opt-out of this service must have their property boundaries clearly marked by next Monday and must be responsible for controlling the noxious weeds on their property. “NO SPRAY” indicators should be marked directly on the road surface; notices posted on trees can be easily missed. Under state law, it is the resident’s responsibility to control the spread of noxious weeds on their property.
If you have questions, please call Holly at 406/580-7117.

Gravel trucks on lower Woodchuck.

We will start hauling gravel on lower Woodchuck today. These trucks are hauling to the stock pile just below the Beaver ponds. This material is needed to repair Woodchuck by the beaver ponds. All other roads are still restricted to a maximum weight of 24,000# GVW. The weight restriction will remain in effect until the repairs on Woodchuck are completed and the roads dry out. Spring Weight Restrictions

With all the rain received over the holiday weekend and more rain expected in the foreseeable forecast, road restrictions on TCRMA roads will remain in effect for all trucks and vehicles exceeding 24,000lbs GVW. The Board has begun coordinating work to repair damaged areas near the beaver ponds on Woodchuck Rd., but the road base in this area is currently extremely vulnerable. The amount of money needed to repair this area has tripled since original estimates were obtained two years ago and it is very important that all residents respect the current the weight restrictions to avoid further damage to our roads. A notification will be sent when weight restrictions are lifted. Thank you for your cooperation!
